It's definitely not for everyone - but I use Twitter way more than Facebook. They have two different purposes - FB makes it easy to stay in touch with people you already know, Twitter makes it easy to meet new people.

I'm on the net 16+ hours a day and haven't felt the need to join Twitter. I'm a FB member but really haven't seen why I should join Twitter as it would just waste more of my time and from what I gather it doesn't do as much.

Hi

I just wanted to say thank you for your explanation. I'm not a geek so I don't really get off into all these new antics. Howevr, I was really interested in knowing what twitter was. Even if I may never use these new digital gadgets, I thinks it's still good to know whats going on. I just recently joined a couple social networks (facebook and gospelalive)...why?...I don't know. Just to see if I could. Unfortunately, I will probably not nav them because talking to a thousand people (lke my daughter does) at one time just don't do it for me. I think I get too caught up too easily. Best that I just lay low. Too many different comments work my emotions to fast. I'll save that for the politicians....smile. I'm too heavily opinionated. Guess I'm more like a one on one person. If I don't agree, it's ok and it's only one opinion to deal with. Just keepin it real!

Anyway, thank you, this really helped a lot. Twitter For Dummies.....LOL
